Recommended : Few important tips

Friends there are few suggestions which I want to share with you. If you will follow them then your path in the academy will be little bit easier.

After recommendation you will have 2 or 3 months before you receive Joining Instructions.

• DO NOT JOIN GYM ( specially Male candidates). Endurance is important and you can easily increase it at your home. Running , Swimming , Push-ups, Sit-ups , Crunches and Pull-ups are to be taken into consideration.you can do these exercises at your home or in some play ground. Morning time is the best time.
• Those who are willing to join Army specially OTA must increase the repetition of there exercise. 
• Wake up at 4.30 A.M. and Do not sleep at noon . 
•  PREPARE YOUR SELF MENTALLY THAT YOU ARE GOING TO BE A SOLDIER AND THAT REQUIRES TRAINING UNDER DIFFICULT SCENARIO.
• Do not ever give up.

A SINCERE REQUEST TO ALL OF YOU.

Today I got a bad  news from my friend in the Air Force Academy that one Lady Cadet Hanged her self in her room few days back. I am very much shocked . We both got declared medically FIT in the same batch. She was very sweet and confident girl . I know her personally.  We do not know the reasons. May her soul rest in peace.

Friends , please understand this statement " you are going to be a soldier , you opted for that, training requires a very tough physical exercise because these exercise will make you strong. This is utmost required that you , specially recommended candidates make your self mentally strong. Indian Air Force academy is far much better than OTA . Becoming soldier is not very easy. Please do think twice before choosing any career. THE MORE YOU SWEAT IN TRAINING , THE LESS YOU BLEED IN WAR.

Those who are already recommended please do regular exercises specially swimming. In Air Force Academy they give too much importance to swimming . 25 meter free style and 5 meter jump etc. Running is also very important minimum run 5 km a day. You will get hardly 4 hours to sleep. Life is tough but this tough life will polish you.


And even if you are in the academy and you want to leave then you can . Only you have to give one lakh rupees and this amount is nothing in front of any one's life. There are other career option also. you can do IAS, IPS,  private sectors are also good. Life is very very important.

       " SUICIDE IS A PERMANENT SOLUTION OF A TEMPORARY PROBLEM " 

Psychology Test : Blank Slide

Dear Friends ,

You know it very well that in TAT the last slide is the blank slide. You have to write a story by your own imagination. You can write anything. Generally aspirants start practising at their home. That I will write this story or that story. Most of the candidates write on their past achievements like if they have done something heroic or  any such incident on which felt proud.

Have you ever imagined why they show you a  blank Slide? I mean they can also tell you to write any story without showing blank slide , what is the use of showing that slide. They also tell you that - last slide will be blank and whatever you perceive by that slide you can write according to that.

DO NOT PRACTICE AT YOUR HOME FOR WRITING ANY STORY FOR THE BLANK SLIDE.

After 11 slides when they will show you the blank slide then write what you perceive from the blank slide. You might be confused. How can a person perceive from a blank slide? but we all perceive , we write very different stories on the blank slide. Before writing for blank slide please think for a second that what you are writing is truly you perceived from that slide..? Doesn't psych will  come to know that what you are writing is a your ready-made , home-made story? 

Generally a common mind reflects a very similar image of the previous slide( 11th one). For example consider that in the 11th slide you got a picture of a dense forest and 2 men standing near a tree. you wrote your story on that. Now the next is blank slide. Now what you should perceive must be little similar to the previous image( dense forest and men) . 

But few start writing anything. Ready-made,Home -made story. I am not saying that your 12th story must be same as  your 11th story but show a little similarity, for example if my 11th slide is of forest then I can write on hills or gardens or environment etc..

Be realistic while writing your story, keep away from superman , spider man, and Saboo. Do not bring their attributes and features in your story. Practice a lot of writing on diversified topic but always think and write realistic stories.

CONFIDENCE Is the key to get selected

Dear Friends ,

Today I want to give you the concept behind CONFIDENCE.

You must be aware of this term "Officer Like Qualities". Most of the OLQ's directly depends on your confidence. I will explain how.

What is CONFIDENCE - It simply means how much you trust your self. If I trust my self , then I am confident and the level of this confidence keep on increasing , when you level of trust is keep on rising.

Confidence = Trust your self.

Now how this trust start building ?. I will explain you with an example.

A boy Ramesh who lacks confidence drawn a plan to develop it ...

Ramesh - He drawn a very strict schedule. I will wake up at 5 a.m. , then i will go for jogging , at 6.30 i will take bath and then sit for pooja . 7.30 breakfast time , 8 -10 I will study , At 10 I will go to college. At 5 i will come back from college. will get refresh till 5.30 and then go for a walk. 6 - 10 i will study. At 10 i will take my dinner and 10 - 11 some movie, FB etc. At 11 i will go to sleep.

Next day he followed the scheduled plan. After then he started avoiding that plan. " yaar aaj thodha aur so leta hun..kal se pakka 5 baje uthunga " ," yaar aaj raat Girl friend is baat kar leta hun , kal se pakka 11 baje so jaunga" ......... Ramesh started cheating himself and some where inside his mind he was also aware of this truth that he is cheating himself. He never developed trust inside him and at last he end with low confident person...

DO NOT LIE TO YOUR SELF, DO NOT CHEAT YOUR SELF, YOU KNOW YOUR CAPABILITIES , YOU CAN ENHANCE THEM ONLY BY TRUE EFFORTS AND THIS WILL BUILT YOUR CONFIDENCE.


In SSB , if you do not believe your self , if you do not trust your self and the you expect from IO , GTO and Psych that they will trust you , they will show their confidence on you. " Foolish thinking"

Do not lie - because this will reduce your trust on you. This will make you coward.

Make very strong commitment to your self that i will do it , and i have to do it,, chahe kuch bhi ho jaye... Once you have decided then you have to do it.. THINK TWICE BEFORE TAKING ANY DECISION BUT ONCE THE DECISION HAS BEEN TAKEN THEN DO NOT THINK AGAIN.

Confidence will built leadership skills, when people start showing there confidence on you  and you will start shouldering the responsibility. you will lead them and they will follow you because they trust you , This  is called Leader ship ....You will start earning trust of other people and believe me my friends this is the best gift which any one can give you.

You will start thinking for those people who trust you . Example A small kid trust his mother and father, kid knows it very well they will feed him, they will keep him safe, and kids such feeling toward's his parents build a sense of responsibility , caring and diligence in parents.

So you can see that if you have trust on your self then it will builds confidence , confidence leads to leadership . leadership leads to become a responsible person and many many more qualities.



" ek baar jo meine commitement kar di to mein apni aap ki bhi nhn sunta" - we took salman's this as a joke but if we really implement this in our life then you will get rid off from the problem of low confidence. 

You will start achieving difficult task , you will face your problems and get free from them . This all contribute to build a very strong and confident personality.


               

              CONFIDENCE IS THE ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENT OF AN OFFICER.

Permanent cure for every problem

Hi friends,

Again I am here with a story. There is so much to learn at every step , every day I learn new thing. Today on this holy occasion of krishna  janmashtami I learned one very important lesson. Today when I was studying at home . My friend , My teacher , Colonel ( Rtrd) Bullet called me. Only I call him Colonel Bullet beacuse he owns a classy 1961 - Royal Enfield bullet. Always shining. I always ask " may I take a ride" and he always says , when you know the answer then why do you ask..We had a conversation on phone -

Col - Good Evening UT.

Me - Good Evening Sir, How are you?

Col - I am good and expect the same for you. What are you doing right now?

Me - Nothing important.

Col- Ok then come to my place and we will go to meet my one very old friend.

Me - Will be at your place in 10 minutes.

Col - Al right.

Me - Sir , where we are going?

Col -  Not very far.

Me - Ok.

( after 20 minutes of drive we reached at a place that place was very backward , I saw various huts and place was also untidy)

Me - why we are here?

Col - to meet my friend.

After few minutes of walk Sir knocked at the door and a man opened the door. He was slim , wearing white colour shirt and brown trousers. I was very confused why colonel came here to meet him and how they became friends. The man was on wheel chairs . We both went inside. His house was quiet small. Only one room , kitchen and bathroom. And then colonel introduced me .

Col - He is my friend UT and UT he is Ram.

Me - Hello Sir.

Ram - Hello UT.

Me - Sir my name is Utkarsh . Col call me UT.

Ram - It's nice.

Col - Ram , How are you?

Ram - I am good sir.

Col - UT , Ram is a teacher and he is a very good swimmer.

Me - That's great. ( But when i said this , I do not know why Ram felt that i am not accepting this and it was also true, He was on wheelchair and He is also a very good swimmer )

Ram - What happened UT? What's running in your mind?

Me - Nothing  I was just thinking .......mmmmmm......like,.....

Ram - That how a man on wheel chair can swim?

Me - No , I know that you can swim and many other people who are disabled are very good swimmers.

Col - UT , Ram was a rickshaw puller . In an accident he lost his legs. He lives alone . He learnt swimming after his accident .

( now i was quiet confused , one side colonel told me that he is a teacher and he was also a rickshaw puller.. and all above he learnt swimming after his accident)

Ram - UT i know what is running in your mind. Yes i was a rickshaw puller. I never went to school. My wife is  no more and my children left me because after my accident i became a liability on them and at present i am living a very happy life . Although I am disabled but i am living very much better life than i was living earlier. I found some very good friends like Colonel and I am a teacher also. I give private tuition classes. I teach English. English Grammar , Composition and how to improve communication skill.

( I was amazed because he was a rickshaw puller , never had even elementary schooling and now he is giving tuition classes , He is disabled but he is also a swimmer)

Me - How did you do all these things?

Ram - After my accident I was all alone.One day I heard that government came up with some scheme for disabled persons. I was having a Radio , I switched it ON ,but the news was in English . That gave this idea that most of the student who completed their schooling in government schools are weak in English and I am also job less . Let's start teaching them English but for that I have to learn first. From all my saving , I purchased second hand NCERT English books from Class 1 to 12. Even I purchased LKG books also. I purchased few books for learning English in Hindi. I worked for 6 to 7 months. My one neighbour was a chowkidaar ( Gatekeeper) in swimming pool. He told me that one committee is organising a free camp for disabled to learn swimming . I joined that camp. From there only I learnt swimming and I met colonel for the first time. He was in organising committee and we became friends. I told him that I want to learn English and told him about my preparation. He was very impressed and He also helped me in learning English and after a year I became proficient in it. I started giving tuitions and now I make a good amount.

Me - Hats off to you sir. I am highly impressed. It must be so difficult for you to learn all these thing. I mean you were not educated but you choose to learn English , You are disabled and you choose to learn swimming, Just opposite of you weaknesses. It must be so difficult.

Ram - My dear UT . I want to tell you the secret of each and every problem by doing this you can solve any problem. " IF YOU WANT TO SOLVE OR WANT TO GET RID OFF FROM ANY PROBLEM THEN YOU CAN ONLY DO IT BY DIRECTLY FACING THEM, IF YOU WILL IGNORE THEM THEN THEY WILL COME AGAIN AND AGAIN IN FRONT OF YOU IN A MORE RIGOROUS MANNER"  SO Face your problem and solve them . Like a Brave soldier.

After few minutes we came back. I told to my col friend

Me - Sir , I just Love you. You are a great human being.

Col - I love you to. You are also a very nice boy..but do not even think about to touch my bullet.

We just laughed and i came back to my home.

Psychology - Self Description Test

In SDT you have to answer's few questions like what you , your parents, your friends and your teachers think about your self. What kind of person you want to become in future or what are the qualities you want to develop?

Well this test requires a good amount of thinking and discussion. You are telling to the psychologist that what kind of person you are . What are you positive traits and your overall personality . Your ACTION must complement your WORDS. For example if you saying that - I am a confident person with good leadership skills then  GTO , IO and other PSYCHOLOGIST also come with this point. ALWAYS REMEMBER CONFLICT BETWEEN YOUR ACTION AND WORDS WILL LEAD TO REJECTION.

You should ask your friends, teachers and your family member about your self. They will give you a true opinion. They will tell your positive and negative points. We always spend most of the time with our friends and family members. There opinion really matters. Try to eliminate your negative points because they may create hindrance in your selection. I know its difficult to reduce any negative points but you have to do it , otherwise you will lie in SSB and you will be easily caught.

Practice at home as much as you can. This practice should be honest and true. Do not  lie to yourself. Write answers of these questions. This will really help you a lot. " Do not ever try to copy an answer of any recommended candidate" . You know very well ,your positive points and you can develop any positive quality and the same goes for negative traits also , you can eliminate them . All this requires self control , dedication , determination and preservation.

YOU WILL DO IT BECAUSE YOU ARE ALREADY A WARRIOR ONLY A FORMAL CEREMONY IS LEFT - This lines only goes for those aspirants who truly believe in hard work.

A call from a friend in AFA

Dear friends ,  I want to share one incidence with you. Few days back I got a call from my one very good friend. She is in AFA ( Air Force Academy), in Chitnis Squadron. She called me to give birthday wishes. I heard her voice after 2 months. I was very happy. She introduced her self as Flight Cadet ---------------. I was very very happy. We only spoke for few minutes. She told me that our study hours has started I have to go otherwise seniors will punish me. I said OK. I told her that I miss you a lot and asked when will you come back . She replied in December.

I want to tell her story. She is my very very good friend. She is a B.Com graduate. Gave AFCAT for the first time. After giving her exams she was not confident because during her exam she was not well and she hardly gave the exam for 1 hour and came back. After her written exam when we spoke she told me that "I think I have to apply next time . I will hardly score 160 to 170 ".I said forgot each and everything and start preparation for SSB. She started preparation. Studied hard. She has very beautiful communication skill. She developed her knowledge and gave the SSB. She qualified and declared medically FIT also. She made it to merit list and now she is in the academy.

" DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE YOURSELF, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE. DO NOT STOP PREPARATION AT ANY STAGE. YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT IS WAITING FOR YOU"

A different answer for why you want to join forces...

Dear friends , few days back I posted a question on my blog that why you want to join armed forces? Although I received very less number of replies but I come to know one thing that , most of you want to join forces for pride, respect, adventurous life which forces offers. Uniform attracts. All the answer were different but the sense was same. This type of answer is welcomed when you are in 12th class or applying through NDA. If you are a graduate or post graduate then you answer should reflect a certain maturity and intellectuality.

Why yo wan to join forces???????????????... Apart from what you said regarding  pride, respect, service, safety , security,  charm for uniform and discipline , you can also mention few additional attributes  which will definitely proof helpful for you.

Friends our Indian Armed forces is more then what we know and what we think. The contribution of Indian Armed Forces in different sectors makes it so respectful. They always give , They never takes. This is a life of full sacrifices and commitment towards our nation. IAF( Indian Armed Forces) doesn't only protect our territory but protect our citizens also, they fight on both the fronts. Other forces like IPS, CISF, CRPF are only confined to their roles and responsibility but IAF doesn't limit themselves under such terminology.

Safety and Security - Protects our border. Protects our citizens from natural calamity , protects our states from internal disturbance like naxalism and maosim .Protect the presidents and governor's of our nation and different states.

Technology - Optimum utilization of our natural and scientific resources requires a good amount of knowledge. Defence personnel doesn't only learn the defending and attacking techniques but also get full knowledge on scientific and technology front so that they can use sophisticated and enhanced equipments.

Social - Unity and equality is the base of  IAF. No discrimination . We all are equal.  

International Front - IAF represent our nation on international front. They not only take participation on various exercises but also emerged victorious in those exercises. Various countries sent their officer's in IAF academies so that they can also learn from us.

Serving in IAF is a matter of pride and living a real life. I WANT TO LIVE MY LIFE , I WANT TO JOIN FORCES.

ICG : Final Selection Board

Dear Friends , After clearing PSB ( preliminary selection board) you have to go for FSB ( Final selection board). One thing I want to make very clear that personally I do not have any experience of Indian Coast Guard selection procedure. My this article is only based on what I have understood from ICG's websites, and other resources.

FSB is almost same like SSB but there are few minor changes. In fact I found FSB easier as compare to SSB. FSB is also divided into 3 stages. Psychological testing , GTO and Interview.

Psychological testing( TAT,WAT,SRT,SDT)  is same in both SSB and FSB. There may be few changes in the number of situation in SRT , number of words in WAT , like that can be reduced to 50 in FSB as compared to 60 in SSB.

GTO - I have heard that there is no outdoor task in GTO but ICG is also preparing to conduct such  tasks. They only conduct, Group Discussion , Military Planning Exercise , and Lecturette.

Group Discussion - Same as in SSB.

Military Planning Exercise - In SSB they will show you the model but in FSB they will explain you on screen.

Lecturette - Same as in SSB..

Interview - In FSB interview is very very important , in fact the role of interview in FSB is far more important then the role of interview in SSB .Why -

• In SSB every interview is conducted for 45 mins or even more than that , but in FSB if the interviewer is interested in you then he will take long time and if not then within 10 or 15 mins he is done with you.
• GTO is not that exhaustive so the role of GTO and Psych will get minimal as compared to interview.
• In FSB interview they generally ask more on your academic subjects and give less important to familiy and personal affairs.

In my opinion if your interviewer is happy with you then your way to ICG is almost clear. GTO is very easy ( if they haven't changed the procedure) . psych is also similar to SSB psych so prepare hard for that. Practice at your home on all the psych testing procedure. Work on communication skill it will really be helpful in GTO and interview. Gain knowledge on your academic subjects, current affairs etc .One more thing ,you must have a good information on Indian Coast Guard. Every thing is mentioned on ICG's website..

Do no commit these mistakes after your written exam

Friends , your written examination is over . please do not waste your time thinking how much you will score because now you cannot do anything. Your job is done. Do not waste your energy and time thinking all such garbage thing. At present there are 3 category of aspirants -

First category - Those who think that - I will score very bad and there is no chance of getting a call for SSB. So why start preparing for it. I will write AFCAT exam next time and if I will get a decent score then I will start preparing for it. 

If any student belong to this category , with this thinking, then you are fooling your self. AFCAT is just an exam. There are various entries CDS, SSC, AFCAT, UES, NCC.. if you are eligible for these exams then start preparing for it. Do not wait for notification to come. Just start preparing for SSB's. In future it will really help you. If you are only eligible for AFCAT then next exam is in FEBRUARY. Time is less. Rest you all know. Always remember that if you have not done well in your exam it's only because you were not prepared or have prepared in the wrong direction. So do not get disappointed and start preparing for the exam.

Second category -  Those who think that they will score 150 -160 . This is just passing marks. Do not wait for the results because after the declaration of the result , with in 1 month SSB will start  and you do not know in which batch they will call you. Time is very less friends start preparing. Otherwise you will regret. DO not waste this time. Make full utilization of this time. Ask as many questions you can. clear all the doubts.This will only help you.

Third category - Those who are confident that they will score good marks. SSB has nothing to do with your written examination whether you have scored 150 or 299 .It will not effect there testing procedure. SSB is same for all. So without wasting  a single second start preparing.

After AFCAT Exam ....

Soooooo... all my warriors are done with their written exam. Well I must congratulate you because today you have faced the first stage of your exam and you will definitely clear this first stage of selection procedure. My best wishes are with you..

Always remember dear friends past is past now move forward . If you haven't done well then plzzzzzzzzzzzzz find out where you lacked and improve that side.So that next time you score very good marks. I expect that ,  if you will score 150+ then you will find your name in the selection list. But that's just a passing mark. Now you have to perform very well in your SSB because now your target is to get recommended and compensate your less written examination marks. SSB will play a very major and important role in your selection. 

Those who are confirmed and confident that they will get marks in between 220+  then you can consider your self in a bit safe position.  Get recommended and clear your medicals . Your job is almost done but if your luck factor is too negative then anything can happen.

Now for those , in fact the majority ones who will score in between 160 - 200, You must remember that you have applied for July course and ... And July course has a great reputation for breaking the dream and heart of recommended and medically FIT candidates. 

Start preparing for your SSB very very seriously if you haven't started it yet. Interview is very ,very, very,.......n  important. So start preparing for the exam. My one friend got PC in AE(L) for July course and he only scored 152 marks in AFCAT , this is just an example . He performed extraordinarily in his SSB. If he can do it then you can also do it. 

WHEN WILL POWER GET MARRIED TO HARD WORK THEN THEIR CHILDREN IS NAMED AS SURE SUCCESS..

GTO - Few basic questions of GTO Sir..

Dear Friends ,

If you have noticed that in every SSB during your outdoor tasks ,GTO ( Group testing Officer) ask certain questions to each and every one. One thing I want to make very clear to each and every aspirants that , you are there( SSB) for some specific and serious business and none of the officer will entertain you by asking useless questions. Everything and Every question will have a meaning.

OUTDOOR TASKS -

• When you will meet your GTO for the very first time then he will introduce himself and  he will explain you about the complete procedure. During his interaction he can ask few things which are not related to any selection procedure. May be on few generalised subjects like " My son want to take admission in engineering college but we are confused about branches, As you all are engineer's , what are your opinions?" All of the candidates start giving their opinions.., but in this session few want to forcefully put their opinion , Although each and every are replying but dominance will not work. One side you are denoting each and everyone as a gentlemen and on the other side your behaviour is just opposite to gentleness. 
• During Half Group Task.. GTO divide the complete group in two or three sub groups. DO not run your mind on finding the concept behind this division. Although GTO has divided the group by taking some rational approach which will help him to get understanding of each and everyone's behaviour. You only perform the task and leave rest of the things.
• During your command Task , GTO will have one on one conversation with you . He will ask about yourself, your place, your current job or what ever you are doing. Then he can ask one question to you " In your opinion who deserve to get recommended in your group" now this question can tell a lot of things like your confidence level , your perspective towards your group , why you think a certain chest number deserve to get selected while other's not , and many many more things..... 
• For your command task GTO ask you to call 2 helpers from the group. He can ask " why you are calling these two" what is the reason behind it...

Whatever reply you give that must have some rationality in it. Do not represent a personality who is just answering because someone questioned him. 

Caution - " Listen to his each and every instruction very very carefully" If some doubt occurs then ask the questions but do not ask for the sake of just asking. During my GTO one candidate asked a question , and GTO gave him a very sweet reply which i can never forget -

Candidate - Sir ,  How a GTO selects a candidates? I mean what are the qualities he is looking for ?

Sir -  (Gave him a very stern look ). When you will become a GTO then you will come to know and your chances of becoming a GTO are very rare.

Candidate - I am sorry sir.

Sir - Do not be sorry . In fact thank you , you made my job little bit easier.

Remember he is not their to chit chat with you. If he is getting formal with you then it's fine but you always be in discipline... " aisa nhn ki GTO tu to bhai hai apnaa..."  

When your testing is complete then he will tell you to ask anything. This time you can ask but do not commit any mistake or stupidity. Think twice before asking anything.. ALL THE BEST

Indian polity and constitution is a subject which is always asked in the exam. This topic is not only important for exam but this is also one of the main area of questioning in Interview round. Secularism ,Socialism , Fraternity , Fascism and many more. IO generally ask such concept on democracy , Republics , Fundamental Rights etc. etc. After going through various books i found that , NCERT books on polity and M. Laxmikanth's book is highly recommended and a need. Specially Laxmikanth's book.


If you have any other books on indian polity then no need to purchase any other books , but i highly recommend you to go through this book.. Borrow from any friend , second hand will also work...  You only need a month to get a strong grip on this subject.. so if you can borrow from any where then it's good

CDS, AFCAT : Few tips on last days of exam....

Hello warriors ,

So only few days are left.. I will not ask how is your preparation going on..because..i know very well how it feels..Bahut tension hota hai yaar..but it's fine...Well examination is the part of our life..We gave a lot of exams in school , college , various competitive exams....but few exams are taken to be very seriously....it's not like " one night stand" which generally engineering student do in their semester exam....

I do not know how much are you prepared , but few things will help you . -

• Keep on revising your stuff. " Do not waste your time in gathering new study materials at this crucial time "..What you have is sufficient and  just keep on revising them...
• Please do not waste your time in facebook and by posting any useless questions in the SSB group. If your quantitative section is weak then practice at home as much as you can , posting questions in SSB group will not help you.
• In objective test , do not leave the question without reading it properly. Some times the options it self leads us to the solution via. elimination method.
• Focus more on reasoning , quant , and English section try to solve them completely for GS if you know the answer then you will immediately tick the correct answer , reading question again and again will not lead you towards the solution.
•  Be Confident and Keep your self Calm... Do not go for HIT and TRAIL method..

If you are a FRESHER.....

Today , on this pure and holy day of Rakhshabandhan ,One very interesting incident happened with me.... At my cousin place I met a very young boy. He was having very attractive personality. A completely new look of hair- style ( i think that style some where resembling to Yo Yo Honey Singh's Style , at first instant i thought that he must have received a very high voltage electric shock) , I have heard  a lot about
low-vest jeans but  what he was wearing a Lowest- vest jeans. Extra - Large size of way- farer , i thought they must belong to his father or big brother , Very loose T- shirt and Yellow colour shoes...... After seeing him I realised ,, Kitna badal gaya insaan...

Some how i really wanted to speak with this guy..I wanted to know whether he got any brain or just a full style macho boy.. So i started the conversation..( Actually he is my brother's friend , and came for Rakhi...)
I will call him " YO".. because it completely suits him...

Me - Hi...? I am your friend's elder brother..

Yo - Hey Big Brooo.. What's up????

Me - I am Good and you...

Yo - Khhhhooooollllllllllllllllllll....( Actually he meant to say cool but he pronounced in a very strange way)

Me - In which class you are?

Yo - Completed my schooling.. and got admission in engineering college with mechanical branch..

Me - Oh.. That's gr8..

Yo - What's gr8 in it??? Now a days degree of engineering is so common..( started chewing his boomer)

( some how i controlled my anger and asked him..)

Me - Yo ,What's your father profession?

Yo - He is a Business - Man...

Then I looked outside from the window , I saw An AUDI Q6 .

Yo - That belongs to me bro..

Me - OK...So " YO" what's new????

Yo - Nothing Man..After 10 days , I am going to Allahabad ...

Me - Any Specific reason?

Yo - I have my SSB for 10+2 entry... You know what is SSB?

Me - Haven't heard about it .. What's that? ( suddenly all senses got activated when i heard this)

Yo -  Holy Sh#####t , SSB Bro.. Army , Air Force , Navy... " Lakshya Movieeee"...

Me - Ok Ok...Shastra Seema Bal......

Yo - Noooooooooooo..no seema ..no bal.... its Service Selection Board..

Me - Ohh...SSB..now i got it...

Yo- pheeewwwwwwwww...... Thank God...

Me - So are you prepared for it?

Yo - Yes , I am

Me-  Now i recalled ,,it's a five day process ..right?? SSB is not easy..

Yo - I know it's not easy but if you are prepared and confident then every thing is easy.. you know bro main thing is, if you know your weakness and honestly you put hard efforts to get rid off from it then it provide you a great level of confidence..

Me - So what was your weakness and how you get rid off from it?

Yo- You know bro from my child hood I never like to drink milk .that tasted so bab...

Me - So now you drink milk and that's it??????? This was your weakness????????????

Yo- Yes i drink milk now but my weakness was something else...

Me- Ok continue...

Yo - During my child hood i had an accident , doctor told me for a complete bed rest for 6 months , my left leg bones were broken into 3 pieces and at that time i was in class 8th. I told my mom that i will drink milk now , i will drink regularly , you always say na that milk provide calcium to our bones and they get stronger . plz make my legs stronger ..plzzz............ After few months i started walking and doctor told my parents that the main joints got displaced and i will never be able to run fast.. but i tried , i tried harder it was so painful but i practised , slowly and gradually i started walking again and i even represented my school in various sprint competitions. Today running is my hobby and BHAAG MILKHA BHAAG is my favourite movie... This incident actually taught me a lot of lessons and main lesson is" IF YOU HAVE STRONG WILL POWER THEN YOU CAN TO ANYTHING"...

Me - I respect your will power "YO" (Actually I was numb..it was like filmy story... but it was true)...

Then i again asked....

Me -  so what you have prepared for SSB ?

Yo - I have completed basics of my subjects. Started speaking in English.. I practice a lot..I was not fluent in English but I started speaking in English in front of a mirror and with in few days I get fluent...I tell story of some movie to my elder brother , who points out my mistake's ..
It completely gave me power to " EXPRESS MY THOUGHT'S MORE CLEARLY , IN A ORGANISED WAY WITH FULL ASSERTIVENESS "

Me - Yes. I can see that...and what else???

Yo - I am an average student , so whatever i know . i will tell them.. but i am reading newspaper and few GK books on a continuous basis..it enhanced my knowledge....

Me - That's very very good.. You are confident , You can express your thought's in a proper organised manner. You study also.. these all will help you...

Yo- Haan Bhaiya...

Me - Yo it will be better if you will change your appearance before going to SSB..( I was happy that he called me bhaiya..)

Yo -- ya sure bhaiya..Ye to bas aise hi time- pass...

Me - keep this approach and you will make it .. All the best.. and then we moved in the pooja room for rakhshabandhan...


" Dear Friends, If you are also going to SSB and you are fresher , specially if you are in your teen age then it's a golden chance for you..they really appreciate such young boys who wants to join forces. Few tips for you

Do Not think that you can make your selection confirm by the rejection of others. DO not try to get involved in a RAT RACE .. if you get involved in it then whether you win or loose one thing will be sure that you are a RAT. So do not do that.

What " YO" has done to improve his expressive skill is required if you lack in expressing you views , because if you will not express it ,then the officer's will not get to know what is inside you. so express your views in a proper organised manner..

CONFIDENCE is utmost important. If your knowledge is little weak than also it's ok because you are applying for NDA or 10+2. A good amount of knowledge is expected from a graduate. He should know few things but for you it will be not a major issue because you are going to spend 4 or 5 years in the academy and they will teach you every thing in these years but you should know the basics of your subjects.

" ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT YOU ARE GOING THERE FOR YOUR OWN SELECTION NOT FOR OTHERS REJECTION, IF SOME ONE IS PERFORMING BETTER THAN YOU THEN DO NOT TRY TO SUPPRESS HIM ONLY TO SHOW- OFF IT WILL LEAD YOU NO WHERE "

Take participation in all the activities with full josh and interest. Enjoy this testing. Enjoy the five days and get RECOMMENDED , if something goes wrong then nothing to worry you will get a lot of chances in future but try to make it this time"

Psychology : SRT ( Situation Reaction Test )

Dear Friends ,

In Psychology Test , SRT is another tool to check you reaction's on different situations. This test is not tough. We all give proper responses but the main problem is , this test is very time consuming and one needs a good writing speed to cover all the situations. They will generally give you 60 situations. You should try to cover all of them but if not possible than try to at least cover more than 50 situations.

How to write responses for SRT's -

We all are educated and our cognizant mind knows it very well what to do and when to do. Your reactions in different situations will clearly tell them the attributes of your personality. Few tips are -

•  " USE SHORT HAND"
•  " WRITE FAST" , Practice a lot this can only provide you good writing speed.
• Do not try to give the best response of a particular situation.Write , what you will do it , in that situation.

Example - ( These responses are mine , your's can be different )

1. He does not drink , His friends insist him for drinking , being his marriage in the party. He .....

Previously i used to write -

He will convince his friends that he do not drink , and after convincing them , they all enjoyed the marriage.

Using Short Hands -

convinced his friends with assertiveness , enjoyed marriage with friends.

2.    His captain was injured before a crucial match, he was asked to lead the team? He...

Shouldered  given responsibilities with confidence , played well , won the match.

3.   He saw his girlfriend walking with another person on his way. He...

Greet them warmly , continued walking. 

4.  He was on his way to railway station to catch a train; suddenly a car passes by and throws a person out of the running car. He..

Rushed to person , provide medics , informed police , hospitalized also if required. 

5.  He see a snake moving near to the bed where his younger brother is sleeping, when he enters his room.

Took stick, killed snake 


These responses are mine and i will do it. There can be some better reply which suits the situation but these responses are based on my thinking and perspective.

" Write in short - hands , its applicable , they do not want to know how beautifully you express your thought's in paper, This is SRT. Time will be very less. So practice a lot "

Dreaming and Day Dreaming

Today i will tell you a story of two friends Gogi and Goli ...

(Note - Now  a days people have started raising objections on my character's name so for them. Dear Reader's the names of the characters in the story are completely imaginary , but my  stories are based on true incidents and if the name's relates to any person living/non-living then it's completely co - incidental... huffff..)

Haan so where were we....

Gogi and Goli...They were childhood friends . Always wanted to join armed forces. Gogi wanted to join Army and Goli wanted to join Indian Air Force. When they were in class 9th that was the first time they saw their school principle , A retired Colonel in his uniform on the occasion of 15th of August. From that day only Gogi and Goli have decided that they will become brave , gallant Officer's of Indian Armed Forces.

They both were average student.  Gogi was very talented , he always took part in different curi-cultural activities. Dancing , Singing , Acting, Sports and in studies also he was an average student . Goli was also Ok Ok. If someone force him to do anything than he will think about it and at last , Ok .. i will do it if u insist..

Whenever they meet they talk about joining armed forces, Gogi used to say " when i will become a Lieut. i will start  participating in sports and will represent our country in Olympics and will definitely win medal. Goli used to say when i will fly Sukhoi na then my whole country and air force will feel proud on me. I will be the best pilot.

Goli - I will look damn handsome in aviators.

Gogi - and i will look a true hunk in my bullet...dhak dhak dhak....

Goli - yaar will they also send us in foreign countries..to learn some thing...

Gogi - ya ya..they will...

Goli - woowwwww...

Gogi -- yes simply woowwwwwww.....

And the story continues.....After few years....When they came in 12th class...

Goli - yaar , the time has came ... now NDA is waiting for us...

Gogi - Haan yaar , but i am little bit afraid for my hair. I love my hairs..

Goli - Do not worry ..it will be a matter of time...then again you can grow them.

Gogi - Haan. We will be the best Cadet of the Academy...

Goli - How can we both be best.. Only one can be best..

Gogi - Ok , you will be the best..Tu to apna bhai hai re pagle.....

Goli - hahahaha .. by the way when the notification is coming???

Gogi - Notification??? what notification???

Goli - Areee NDA I baba....

Gogi -- Oh that i do not know..

When the notification came , they both filled the form. Now one day before examination...

Goli - So buddy .. how are u ?? prepared?

Gogi - For what???

Goli - For exam ree.. tommorow we have our NDA exam na...

Gogi -  A soldier is always prepared bhai.. by the way what is the syllabus?

Goli - Wahi..Maths , English, GK.. may be few Reasoning questions too...

Gogi - basssssssssss... common that's a piece of cake... we both have taken mathematics as our main subjects , so not to worry... We both are from English medium. so that is also ok.. and we know GK also..Nehru is our current prime minister naa....

Goli - Common Gogi..Nehru was our First prime minister..... Manmohan Singh is our current prime minister..masti mat kar yaar.. i know you know all of it...

Gogi - ya ya ya...i toh bas kidding with u..

Goli - Best of luck gogi..

Gogi - A soldier do not believe in luck.. He only believe in hard work..over and out...

After Exam -


Goli - How was your exam???

Gogi - So easyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy...Fadh dala meine to... and your's????

Goli - mine was so so..

Gogi - be positive man.. that is the quality of soldier....

Goli -- Really.....???????????? .Ohhhh Gogi you are a true soldier..

Gogi - yes . I am...

Goli -- what a confident person you are.... accha tell me ... have you filled the form of AIEEE.or IIT?...

Gogi -- fir tune choti baat kar di... We are going to join NDA.. why would i waste one seat of IIT...

Goli - haan yaar ..but i filled it ..you know in case..if something  goes wrong.....

After few months , result was declared....

Goli - Gogi result is out...

Gogi - Accha.. Now i should pack for my SSB's. One more formality...Ohhh God...

Goli - your name is not in the list..

Gogi - whhhhaaaatttttttttttttt????????? and your's????

Goli - i also failed...

Gogi - There must be some printing mistakes...

Goli - No,, i clarified the same thing with UPSC... it's negative...

Gogi- achaaaa...

Goli - One more thing . i got admission in one engineering college...now going to do B.tech..

Gogi - but we can try again na...

Goli - No Gogi ... We already skipped our one attempt in day dreaming. This was our last attempt..

Gogi - Day - Dreaming?????????? Dude that's a soldier attitude........

Goli - Bye Gogi..... Tomorrow  i am leaving...

Gogi - Ok.. Over and Out...

Goli -- Gogi.... still you aree.........

Gogi ...Ok ..Ok..Bye....


Gogi took admission in one local college in B.A. but still he didn't changed his attitude. He joined NCC and started thinking that he will join Army through NCC..

After few years , One day goli called gogi...

Goli - Hey gogi.. how are you?

Gogi - i am good..u say??

Goli - So prepared for CDS exam..

Gogi - yes. what abt you?

Goli - yes i am also prepared...

Gogi - Will meet you in SSB??

Goli - let's first qualify written exam..

Gogi - ya sure buddy..

They gave written . This time Goli qualified and Gogi again failed.. Goli went for SSB.. and got conference out..He tried again and his second attempt he qualified.. Presently Goli is Captain in Indian Army and posted in pune.. Goli is a shopkeeper of a Daily needs shop..

One day Goli and Gogi again met -

Gogi - Yaar , how to join territorial Army...

Goli - The day you will stop dreaming and start preparing for the exam ..You will get to know each and every thing..

" Dear friends , Specially my very young Friends of 12th standard , who are preparing for NDA..Dreaming is important because if you will not see a dream than how  will you come to know, that , what you want to become..So dream... But once you know what you want to become than that dream can not be fulfilled by dreaming .. you have to put hard and honest efforts to convert that dream in to reality.. Yes , I Have Failed In Past.......

"This article is specially for such people who thinks that there past failure will now going to effect there every future exams , interview and now it's very difficult for them to achieve."

I want to share LESSONS OF FAILURE , with you -

Lord, are you trying to tell me something?

For...

Failure does not mean I'm a failure;

It means I have not yet succeeded.

Failure does not mean I have accomplished nothing;

It means I have learned something.

Failure does not mean I have been a fool;

It means I had enough faith to experiment.

Failure does not mean I am disgraced;

It means I dared to try.

Failure does not mean I don't have it;

It means I have something to do in a different way.

Failure does not mean I am inferior;

It means I an not perfect.

Failure does not mean i have wasted my life;

It means I have a chance to start over.

Failure does not mean that I should give up;

It means I should try harder.

Failure does not mean that I will never make it;

It means that I need more practice.

Failure does not mean that you have abandoned me;

It means you must have a better idea. 

My Dear Failure Friends , 

When i say failure , then it include me also. I have failed a lot. You might have heard about Quarterly and Half Yearly exam's which are conducted in school. After exam's when teacher used to distribute Report Card's than my friend's used to say " Utkarsh , tera report card to bilkul garden bana hua hai , jismein red , green and blue flower's khile hue hain"...( if one score more then 60 than it will be written in blue ink , if just passed then in green ink and if one got failed then in red ink ) and after distribution of report card my teacher's always used to love me a lot with stick and rain of slaps. 

Yes i have failed a lot in my past and it's completely true but i have also achieved and still achieving  a lot in my present that is also true.

My friends are mailing me regarding there failure's and they are afraid also that there failure in past will not let them succeed in present or future. Well i do not know whether your past failure's will act as a hindrance in achieving your target in present or future , but such thinking will definitely lead you to fail again.

Every human being , Every creature ,Every single entity in this world have failed many a times in their life. We read inspirational quotes written by Swami Vivekanand  and other great personalities , Those people also have failed many a times in their life. Failure is a part of our life. 

Some times we achieve , Some times we fail . Some times we get screen out , Some time gets conference out but there will be a time when you will get RECOMMENDED.

Few said that they have created a new record in the history of getting back - logs in their engineering college.

Few said that they failed in their 12th board twice or thrice.. and few other examples of failure.. 

You know what is the main problem , when you keep on repeating your mistakes , even after knowing it that this will lead to an ultimate failure but because of lack of self control we could not restrict our self from repeating such mistakes. DEVELOP SELF - CONTROL, this is the only solution.

One start thinking about his past failure's and keep on de- moralizing himself .Yes , deeply analysis of your failure is required but once you have analysed and now you know the reason of your failure than immediately stopped thinking about your past failure. Now put your all effort's to get rid - off from those drawbacks.

Stop thinking about your neighbours, society , relatives and other people who laughs at your failure. Let them laugh. They are the exact example of weak personality. You know why they laugh on your failure because the truth is they are coward and they have never succeeded and will never succeed. They get a kind of immense pleasure by stating themselves that " I am not alone , He also failed " and his level of failure is higher than mine. hahahahahaha...Such people are only Chirkutssssss........ They will never stop comparing and this shows that their life and mentality is so unhealthy that they are more interested in day to day happening of your life .  

Only and only think about your parents , near and dear ones who are truthful to you and really care for you ..Rest all are not important..

 If you have failed in your past then accept it. Yes i have failed.. You Notice IO will always ask what are reasons of your failure. To know whether you have analysed and improved your self or not. Tell him with all proud that " yes sir , i have failed due to this reasons and then i improved my self and get passed ." Do not loose your confidence and trust "

 I will tell you the story of Abraham Lincoln - 

Abraham Lincoln Didn't Quit

Probably the greatest example of persistence is Abraham Lincoln. If you want to learn about somebody who didn't quit, look no further. 

Born into poverty, Lincoln was faced with defeat throughout his life. He lost eight elections, twice failed in business and suffered a nervous breakdown. He could have quit many times – but he didn't and because he didn't quit, he became one of the greatest presidents in the history of America.

Lincoln was a champion and he never gave up. Here is a sketch of Lincoln’s road to the White House:

1816 His family was forced out of their home. He had to work to support them.

1818 His mother died.

1831 Failed in business.

1832 Ran for state legislature – lost.

l832 Also lost his job – wanted to go to law school but couldn't get in.

1833 Borrowed some money from a friend to begin a business and by the end of the year he was bankrupt. 

He spent the next 17 years of his life paying off this debt.

1834 Ran for state legislature again – lost.

1835 Was engaged to be married, sweetheart died and his heart was broken.

1836 Had a total nervous breakdown and was in bed for six months.

1838 Sought to become speaker of the state legislature – defeated.

1840 Sought to become elector – defeated.

1843 Ran for Congress – lost.

1846 Ran for Congress again – this time he won – went to Washington and did a good job.

Now do not get a wrong message by this story  .Haan..... If you are thinking that " i have also failed a lot and one day i will become president of India , than wake up from your this dream. " 

Failure teaches a lot of new things and the day you will achieve your goal , it will show how a weak person emerged victorious by his great efforts and hard work.

" Do not ever loose your faith, Have trust on your abilities , Do not cheat your self " , Keep doing hard work, irrespective of the result  and you will get each and every thing.

Psychology test : WAT ( Word Association Test )

Dear Friends ,

Word Association Test or WAT is another very important tool of psychologist to get more about your thought process and personality.

Few aspirants commit blunder mistakes when they start Practising for WAT. They practise a lot . At their home they have solved 500 - 1000 WAT's but without understanding the concept of this exam. Remember friend's Practice make's man perfect , but only the right practice , i mean when you practice in right direction than only you get the desired result , if you are practising wrong and keep on doing it than you get proficient in committing that mistake. And then you ask  to your self that i practised a lot but still i failed , then comes excuses like , it's not in my destiny..etc etc...

Concept of WAT -

WAT it self explains it Word Association test. You have to create a sentence by using the word. Now when i say you have to create a sentence it means a sentence which shows your thought process and features of your personality but most of us start forming sentences which are either proverb or dictum.

For example -

Honesty - Honesty is the best policy.

" Does Psychologist really wanted to know this ?.. Doesn't he know or the world know that honesty is the best policy? , Does this statement reveals anything about your  personality.? Does he will get anything about your thought process?" THE ANSWER IS SIMPLY NOTHING.. few more examples are

Country - We love our country.
Truth - Everybody should speak truth.
Time - Time never come's back.
Love - Love binds people.
Friend - Best relation in the world.....   ................... and So on and so forth.............

They ask 60 words . Time is very less. You have to write immediately the first thought which comes in your mind. It's Ok if you write proverbs like what i have mentioned above for few  sentences but not for all the sentences, for that reason only they ask 60 word's because they know it that in few sentences you can commit some mistakes.

We all leave 8 to 10 words because of time shortage and in rest of the sentences if you write proverbs than it will not tell anything about you.

What is required for WAT -

1. A good speed  and legitimate hand writing. So that at least you can attempt 55 Words and psychologist could read them.

2. Sentence Formation - Form a sentence which reveal your thought process.It's very very easy once you start practising in right direction. For every word you should create an object and then lead that object with the given word in a positive direction. ( for easy and fast creation of sentences)

For Example -

Honesty - Raju perform all his work honestly.

( In this sentence Raju is an object , which leads the word in a positive direction . Remember that object represents you so be careful while sentence formation)

Country - Ramesh became a government servant to serve his country.

Truth - Prakash always remain truthful to his parents.

Time - Amit complete all his work in correct time.

Love - kuldeep love's for his country is admirable.

Knife - Captain kalia killed terrorist with his knife.

Neighbour -  Suresh always keeps healthy relation with his neighbour's.

These all sentence represent something regarding thought process... In a single instance it will be difficult for you to create a sentence but practice and you will feel the difference.

Few more Explanation -

As i made it clear in the article that , Proverbs , Dictum , Saying , quotations doesn't reveal anything about our self. Everywhere we read such statements , in the books , in school , colleges , in the facebook pages, everywhere such proverbs are written and that's the reason the first thing come in our mind is a proverb. One Friend wrote all the beautiful and supportive things about words. like yes honesty is the basic principle of life , Country always comes first , Truth always prevails . These all are well said fact but they do reveal anything about you.... Some saint or famous personality have said this things and we are just repeating . Offier's in SSB also announced it again and again that do not write proverbs, quotations, saying..etc..

William Shakespeare , Benjamin Franklin and other great personality have said that " Honesty is the best policy " yes it's completely true...but WAT is not about writing proverb's ...WAT is all abour sentence formation. Because when you form a sentence it reveals your thinking...RAM , RAHIM is not required but that helps in sentence formation. Your object performs any action.

Some of you facing problem in understanding proportional taxation so a short explanation -

Progressive taxation  -  The more you earn ,The more you pay income tax. Consider 4 people A, B, C, D.

There yearly incomes are - ( These data's are taken for example only)

A = 1..9 lakh  , B = 4 lakh ,C = 8 lakh , D = 12 lakh

Now according to progressive taxation , which India also follows , I will show you the income tax they will pay -

I.T.R. = Income Tax Rate

Where the total income does not exceed Rs. 2,00,000/-. .(ITR is NIL ) 

So A will pay NIL

Where the total income exceeds Rs. 2,00,000/- but does not exceed Rs. 5,00,000/-.(ITR -10%)

B will pay 40,000

Where the total income exceeds Rs. 5,00,000/- but does not exceed Rs. 10,00,000/-. ( ITR - 20%)

C will pay 1,60000

Where the total income exceeds Rs. 10,00,000/- ( ITR - 30%).

D will pay 3,60000.

As you can see this type of taxation is not encouraging any one to earn high. If you will earn low then it's better because of low Income tax. That is the reason it is said that " Being poor is rewarded , while richness is punished " ... Those who earn high , start showing Income Tax department that they earn less  so that they can save money by evading income tax.

But this method is pro -poor / helpful for the poor. And this method taxes people according to their affordability.


As you can see with the increasing salary the rate of taxation is also increasing, So we need to convert this progressive taxation into proportional taxation at certain level( 10 lakh).

Proportional Tax means same rate of tax for everyone irrespective of their earning. This proportional taxation is complemented with progressive / regressive .

In our example we converted progressive tax in to proportional tax at the level of 10,0000 , If anyone who earns more than 10 lakh like 15 lakh , 20lakh or more they all will pay income tax by same rate and procedure in a proportional manner , if we will not convert progressive into proportional  then you can imagine the percentage of tax rate who earns more than 10 Crore per annum and in India earning 10 crore/ annum is getting common.

Note - This is only a example to give a better understanding. There are some more features of progressive taxation and proportional tax.

Eye Opener : Myth of SSB centres.

Dear Friends ,

                      Now a days  most of the aspirants started asking one question via mail that whether SSB centre does plays any role in getting into merit list?

Well right now you are in the preparatory stage . I do not think at present you need to even divert your mind in such use less questions. Yes this things happens in the medical board and in the academy . When you get in to academy some times your seniors ask to you such questions.

As far as merit is concerned , then your position in merit only and only depends upon your performance in the SSB Centre and Written Exam.

Few aspirants asks ,  if anyone got recommended from Allahabad  than will he get in to academy ?  Is there no question of merit out because Allahabad is a rejection centre? 

First of all in army the chances of getting merit out is very low. All the SSB centers whether it's Allahabad, Bangalore and Bhopal all are equal, if you will perform good than they recommend you and if not than no one will recommend you.

The same thing goes true for Air Force and Navy. Varanasi , Dehradun , Mysore , Gandhinagar all are same...

" You have to keep only one thing in your mind that , what ever be the SSB centre , i will give my 100%. "

Like you are looking to join great organization , they also want ordinary people for the organization who can do extra- ordinary work. Remember dear friends Men / Women  creates great organization by their hard effort , Organization do not create Men/ Women.

Psychological Test : PPDT , TAT or Story Writing

Dear Friends , 

Psychology Testing is one of the most important and scientific method which assessors use to know your thought process.  This test comprises three different test's -

1. Thematic Apperception Test (TAT)
2. Word Association Test (WAT)
3. Situation Reaction Test (SRT)
4. Self Description Test (SDT)

Today we discuss on only TAT. First of all for new comers , i am giving a small intro about TAT
.
TAT  -

• Here you will be shown 11 pictures  in a  screen ( Same like PPDT but this time the pictures will be little bit more clear), timing will be less around ( 4 minutes) . After completing 11 pictures they show one blank slide and u need to make story around it.
• You can write in English or Hindi.
• This is test of your imagination and skills.
• Write each story and complete it. No need to describe picture but to write story around it.

Yes you can write story in English/ Hindi . They say it again and again that let the language be not the barrier . We want to know your inner qualities but they also say that if possible you again start speaking/writing in English...

Most of the aspirants commit a common mistake in TAT and they also leads to a common result. Few of them are -

• Psychologists keep on saying this again and again that write a story which you perceive at the very first instant from the image but we as usual modify the story by forcefully inculcating qualities like leadership , courage , Team - work , etc , etc. Thanks to various books , coaching materials , and suggestions from recommended candidates. If you try to write a story, what a recommended candidate wrote in his attempt and start thinking that this will help you to get selected than you are committing a big mistake ( aa bail mujhe maar). Every human being is different , we all think differently and we perceive differently . They are interested to know you in originality.
• If you will write a fake story than you get easily caught because they have various weapons. WAT , SRT, SDT, Interview , GTO . 
• In any selection procedure , You have to answer various questions by expressing your intelligence and knowledge. If you can not express than its your fault not IO's fault. In IO opinion you do not any thing. If you know many things inside your mind and you can'not express it than it's equal to nothing.
• For this reason you need a tool to express your views. In TAT , you must have good writing skills so that you can express and transport your healthy thought to Psychologist. Here good writing skills do not mean that you start writing in Shakespeare style but a skill by which you can express your thoughts correctly. 

Now you have writing skills but the major problem arises here , when you start thinking about what to write. On this topic i had a conversation with my college junior -

J - Sir , What to write in TAT ?

Me - What you perceive in TAT?

J - Sir , if i write honestly write what i perceive na than they will never select me.

Me -  Y? What do you perceive buddy? Tell me honestly where do you face problem?

J - Sir , In story writing , i start with something else and end with something else. i always start thinking in a same direction like in hindi movie's story. Example - Ram was a poor guy , he studied hard, and than achieved some thing  or some time i represent Ram as a hero who save people's life, etc etc..In most of my slides i represent my hero as a poor guy or a Bollywood hero guy who saves the world...

Me - Tell me something about your reading habit?

J - Sir , when i was in college than you know, most of the time we spend in college canteen , and than various movies , and a serious study for 10 to 15 mins , and than chatting with girl friend etc etc..

Me - And Now?

J - Sir , now i am in job so i didn't get much time to speak with my girl friend. Ab to uski shaadi bhi hone waali hai... :(

Me - i was asking about your reading habit..

J - Ohhh that... sir i didn't get time to read anything. Office workload and than Saturdays  Sundays party..

Me - It means you do not do anything to make your perspective broader?

J - I am not getting you.

Me - i know. Are you free right now?

J - yes sir.

 Me - J what do perceive by this image?

J - Sir Ram is a software engineer . He was working in a multi- national company. One day his boss told him that we are not getting enough projects so may be we can go for cost - cutting. So Ram started thinking a develop a new software programme which can help his company to get rid off from this financial crisis. He studied hard and develeoped it, and his boss promoted him. 

Me - It's not bad.

J - and sir sir i forget to add . this leads ram to internal happiness and he came out with flying colours.

Me - OK.

Now me and J went to near by shopkeeper , who generally provides us daily - needs ..

Me - Uncle , I want to do an exercise with you to check your mental ability. R u free??

Uncle - Ya Ya..Ask Ask...

Me - Uncle see this picture for 30 seconds and you have to create a story on what you perceive.

Uncle -  Ghanshyam chand Makhani was a whole sale dealer of commodities. One day he just raised the price of goods to maximise his profit , this leads to bitter opposition against his new pricing scheme. People stopped purchasing from his shop. So he got tensed and than again he restore the prices and apologize to us. In slowly and gradually he was again back to buisness.

Me - Thank you uncle.

J - Aap to kabhi SSB mein mat jaana uncle...

Uncle - SSB ..Is this some new brand of rice???

Than we went to my  school teacher's house 

School Teacher's story - 

Shantanu was a school student , he was an average student. Always teacher's used to scold him because he was never serious in study. Teacher's knew that he has a great potential and if he will do little hard work than he can score much more. One day principal sir called him at his office and inspired him to think for his future and study hard. This inspired shantanu and he studied hard and scored very good marks in board exams.

Me - Mam , i think this story is based on me ..is it??

Mam - may be... may be not...

J - Sir batana kya chah rahe ho???

Me - wait for few more minutes.

Then we went to meet one Retrd. Army Colonel , He is my best friend. 

Colonel's Story -

Rajveer was a student of  Public Administration in Indian Institute of Public Administration. He always wanted to become an IAS officer. He studied hard in his institute , went to various villages and tribal places to get a ground reality of various programmes and policies of government based on his research he submitted an accurate plan for better policy implementation.His research got acclaimed in the world and various international colleges and university offered him job with attractive salary but Rajveer stayed in India , became an IAS and started working for poor people and for the development of the society. This leads to immense satisfaction for Rajveer.

Me - Thank you sir..

Colonel  to J - Why your hairs are so long?? ( in very strong and heavy voice )

J - sir bas aaj hi cut kerwa lunga..( in very scary voice)

After that we started our bike , J was riding..then he asked

J - Now where? Indian President's office ???

Me - No , No ... not right now ..lets go to home.

After reaching our home -

Me - J we got four different stories on the same slide  from 4 different people. 

J your perspective was technical , Shopkeeper's perspective was economical , my teacher's perspective was encouraging and colonel's perspective was social. All the story are correct all of them shows hard work and determination . 

                                 If you will start reading and analysing present day today happening around the world and specially India , whether its technical , Social, Political , security this all will lead you to form a good content of the story with the basic development traits like hard work and dedication and this will lead to a true developmental and constructive story. 

       Those development traits will not only contribute in your story writing but also your body language and attitude complement your personality. And than your personality will show a common traits whether its TAT, WAT, SRT , SDT , GTO etc etc...

My dear J read a lot on various issues , write a lot on various issues and cross all the hurdles of your life by true and honest hard work , dedication and determination. Than you will see that none of the board in this world can even dare to fail you , because you have emerge as a winner of life.
